Hello, For a few days now I feel short of breath. I began noticing it while walking home from work on a very cold day. I felt fine once I got home. Then it started to get more and more noticeable. I now feel short of breath all the time. When I try to take a deep breath I feel like my lungs are not saturated. However, if I breathe slowly for a few times and then try to take a deep breath very slowly I can feel saturated, but it comes with a strange pain in the right side of my back. I might sound a bit hypochondriac, but I m really scared of lung cancer since I m a smoker. I swear I ll drop them should this prove a false alarm. Kind Regards, Alex

I have had a dry cough for about three days now. When it first started it was accompanied by a runny or stuffed up nose (only in the mornings). Now it seems to just be the cough. I wake up right after falling asleep gasping for air. Sometimes it takes 2-30 seconds and I begin to gag and even throw up. Do you have any idea what this is?

I contracted Swine flu and Pneumonia four months ago, and was hospitalised for several days. The recovery has been a long and slow process, and I m still not 100%. I have now developed what appears to be Asthma and use a puffer. On exertion I get Dyspnoea, or when I m stressed I also get short of breath. The Atrovent doesn t seem to help much at all.Is this malady due to lung damage, and will I improve with time, or am I now stuck forever with the problem. Thankyou
