I feel short of breath all the time

Hello, For a few days now I feel short of breath. I began noticing it while walking home from work on a very cold day. I felt fine once I got home. Then it started to get more and more noticeable. I now feel short of breath all the time. When I try to take a deep breath I feel like my lungs are not saturated. However, if I breathe slowly for a few times and then try to take a deep breath very slowly I can feel saturated, but it comes with a strange pain in the right side of my back. I might sound a bit hypochondriac, but I'm really scared of lung cancer since I'm a smoker. I swear I'll drop them should this prove a false alarm. Kind Regards, Alex

It is not just lung cancer Alex, there could be other problems like lungs or something heart related. I think it is high time that you consider for a doc visit and do not postpone it. Because any of the condition shall require timely treatment and will lead to unnecessary complications if left untreated.
