I used to have chest pains on Saturday mornings. These pains were especially bad after stressful weeks, after drinking coffee or eating rye bread and during wet-moist weather. I discovered that training my repsiration to stronger exhalation could help to relieve these pains. The same pain, however, could come as an acute shock after drinking alcohol in Pepsi (not in Coke). Is there a chemical in Pepsi (pepsin?) which enhances angina or stress-related pain?

Do you think Pepsi Max could cause insomnia? I am 39, no major health issues, fairly healthy. I recently begin drinking pepsi max to cut cals, carbs and sugar. I have drank pepsi since i was a teen and could drink it right up until i went to bed with no issues sleeping. I have also had some trouble sleeping through complete night recently. I am not sure if its just a concidence, or when it started really. Tonight after an entire night of insominia i am wondering if it could be related. i just assumed they had the same level of caffeine in them....but not sure.
