I broke a bone in my fibula last Tuesday. Clean

I broke a bone in my fibula last Tuesday. Clean crescent shaped break with a little jagged bone off to the side. Did not break skin. I’m in a boot. It’s on the right foot by the knuckle on my ankle just up from that maybe an inch.
Foot sorer today with still some swelling but red and warm on top and side of my foot. Could it be cellulitis?

Hi Dr. I am 36 years old male. I broke my fibula in the bottom of my ankle of left leg on 31 of August 2014 I went to emergency and they put me cast. The emergency unit told me that I may not need surgery. On the 9th of Sept 14 I was called for X ray and I was told that my bone is dislocated 3mm and I need to go through surgery. I was operated on the 11th of Sept 14 and they put me a metal and six screws . On 22nd of Sept. 14 I was called an x-ray I was told the bone is aligned well now and they gave me another appointment for an X-ray which will be the 20th of October 14. I have lighter cast on about 20 days now. So now I am waiting until the 20th of October which be nearly 6 weeks and I am hoping my bone will heal. My question is was it necessary to go through surgery about 3mm bone misalignment? Was there other alternative or method that could fix my bone without surgery. I have no pain at all, I recently stopped blood thinning injection after I developed symptoms like fatigue, lost of appetite, bleeding in the teeth, not sleeping enough hours, confusion or stress. when I stopped like four days ago I am getting better now. Please help Jason

My fibula is broken near the knee (have X-ray ) also broke the tibia and the surgeon didn t repair the fibula but hammered a rod to fix the tibia and said it will heal on its own. However if you see the X-ray there is no way the bone will heal with 5mm distance and the angle it is on. It has has been 9 weeks now and have followed all regulations 7weeks in bed. Do not understand why they didn t fix the fibula???

I broke my mid fibula about 5-6 months ago playing football.. I played 3 weeks thinking it was a cork. Eventually found out there was a break in my mid fibula I was in a boot for 6 weeks and have been out of it for months.. and a sharp pain has slowly come back into my leg which had previously gone when I originally got out of the boot.. has it not healed properly?
