I take tramadol for fibromyalgia. I have taken 2 pills a day regularly for years. I was told it was not addictive and there were no side affects. I have tried many many other medications and treatments. Nothing helped. My doctor now tells me I should stop taking it. This is my first day and I’m a mess. I hurt all over. I could not fall asleep last night until 3 am. I slept until 11am. I was up a couple hours then fell back to sleep at 2 until 6 pm. I have the chills extremely cold then extremely hot. I have no energy I have to force myself to get up or move. I only lay on the couch. Help.

Hi. The whole right side of my body is swollen or inflamed. In my knees, the right side of my but, and the right side of my face. My whole right leg is numb. I also have fibromyalgia, epilepsy, chronic depression, chronic bowel disorder, and mitral valve prolapse. The doctors have already diagnosed me with those things. Do I have osteoarthritis? My email is: YYYY@YYYY . Thank-you.

I have fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed about 13 years ago. My family Dr. treated me until about a year ago and I was sent to a pain clinic, where only my pain was addressed and not my depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances and so on. I know it must seem like a lot of symptoms to be just one condition, but I have found that if even one of these things gets out of sync then my whole life falls apart. I am a nurse and I work night shift and have for most of my career and I know that doesn t mesh well with my condition but so is life. I really wish I could find a Dr. who would believe me and treat my whole condition. Is there any such creature out there, because right now I feel like I am all alone and that no-one cares that I am having such a tough time.

Hello. I am in my early fifties, and have always had issues with constipation. I eat a very well balanced diet, full of green vegetables, lean protein choices, and copious water. I don t drink alcohol, though I am on an anti convulsant since having had one seizure twenty years ago. I am active, strong, and fit. I ve had recently tried magnesium citrate, and have finally found some reliable relief. I ve heard so many conflicting opinions on the goodness of magnesium to its condemnation as a chronic addition to my evening routine. Is there a definitive answer? I will be asking my doctor , as I ve neglected to address this issue with her before. May I get yet one more opinion? Thanking you I advance, Cathy

My 76 year old grandfather has Parkinson's and the severity of the disease has increased in less than 6 months. No one can seem to get his medications straightened out. He is currently taking Sinemet along with many other medications. He is in a constant struggle trying to walk, talk, and sleep. His sundowners is getting pretty bad too. He s always falling. He has had 3 "fainting' spells that rendered him unconscious for about a minute. The doctors said that he did not "pass out" but they aren't sure what to define it as. My theory is maybe he's having a mini seizure or a mini stroke. Perhaps he is experiencing vascular dementia?
