Should I Be Worried About Severe Water Retention In The Legs After Four Heart Surgeries?
I am taking a water pill for my legs just had heart surgery for the aortic valve in 2009 l had a bovine valve and 2014 l had a transcather valve inserted and earlier this month they inserted anther transcather valve. Had to get platelets before my surgery. Heart is doing great ,my legs are swollen lots of water feet also cannot walk without help
Your symptoms are suggestive of heart failure. For this reason, I recommend performing a new cardiac ultrasound and checking NT pro BNP plasma levels. You may need to increase diuretic dose, to help improve your situation.
