Psychiatrist Dr. Manjula Rau's  Response
dear kumar
you are already on several medications
first we must find what is the cause of insomnia
is it a primary problem or part of another mental disease
depending on it you should be treated
every sedative has its side effects
so first youmust be assesed by a psychiatrist
please contact a psychiatrist in your city
he will be able to assess whether it is primary or secondary insomnia
THEN HE WILL TRAT YOU

Dermatologist Dr. Puvvula Kishore Kumar's  Response
Hi...Mr .Kumar welcome to HCM.

Insomnia is very pitiable condition..,

Every body needs minimum 6 to 7 hours sleep ., then only, he can maintain next day activities smoothely...

Insomnia is sleepless condition.,it has three types i.e 1)Transient, 2)short term, 3)chronic .., first we can asses the type of Insomnia.,.

next cause of the Insomnia is very important.... that is change in your work pattern ,excessive noise, uncomfortable room temperature, stressful situations ..and

regarding treatment you are using...sedatives,antidepressants like recita forte ,qutan and zapiz -these have definitely undesired side effects..like paradoxical reactions.., depression, phobias, aggressiveness, voilent behaviour and suicidal tendencies...hence asses the severity of problem and do accordingly..consult good Psychiatrist o.k..bye
