I twisted my ankle on the first of this month and I could i see considerable swelling on my ankle. I wrapped it with ice for a while and reduced the swelling a bit. I couldn't sleep that night, the pain was killin me. I couldn't keep my left leg down, nor put any pressure on it. I consulted a general physician on the next day, he gave me pain killers and made me walk. On the fourth, I could see to swelling hasn't reduced and consulted with an orthopaedician, he put plaster of paris on my ankle and asked me to rest. I've had the POP on my ankle for the past 17 days, the pain has totally gone. But some part of the swelling is still there. I'm able to walk with the cast and without any pain. Should I rest till the swelling goes or can I start walking again without any problem??
