Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic,
Chest pain may originate from any other part of the body.HEART,SKIN,MUCLES OF THE CHEST,LUNGS,OESOPHAGUS anything can cause heart pain. The stomach or other organ in the abdomen can cause chest pain.Plain antacids and analgesic will releive the pain if caused by gastric troubles. If the pain extends to the left arm and forearm, lasts for long time and is very severe you need to consult your doctor.

Hi,
Thanks for query,
It may be due to gastritis and some heart problem.
Go for ECG to rule out cardiac pain as it is an emergency.
If it is due to other cause there is no emergency.
Take Omiprazole or some analgesic.
Ok and bye.

Hi Dr. , This is Debraj Das from Mumbai.I am a 31 yr management proffesional .my working hrs are from 8 am to 6.30 pm and sometimes even more . Last yr I caught the chikungunea fever ,my fever was not coming down 103 for 3 consecutive days.n I was feeling excrutiating pain in my chest and joints ...eventually the joint pain disappeared with the fever but i still have this chest pain which comes and goes time to time . i can feel this sharp piercing pain on the upper right side of my chest specially when i lift something as small as my 3 months old kid .i have seen a pulmonologist here in godrej hospital too where they have asked me for the chest xray and ct scan ...The xray showed -every thing normal except- nodular opacities in right upper n apical zone while the ct scan was suggestive of subtle bronchiolectasis in bilateral lung fields. After going through the reports my doctor said the pain was due to the infection scar left after chikunguniya n it ll remain the rest of my life ...n gave me a topical ointment vovoran emulgel to rub on when required...still the severe pain is there.can u plz help ? n for your concern would like to add that there is no sudden drop in weight, i dnt spit blood and nothing as suggestive for tb ...so that was firstly ruled out by the dr. Waiting for your consultance thanx in advance Debraj

I went to the ER on 6/1/17 with chest pain mostly in the center between my breasts. They ruled out heart disease by doing CT scan with contrast, EKG s, Chest Xray, Treadmill test, ultrasound of heart, blood tests every 6 hours to check enzymes. I was kept over night for observation, but I did notice that the pain nearly went away when I had the IV steroids. I was sent home on 10 mg tablets of prednisone for 3 days only.....4 10 mg; 2 mg; 1 mg. When I finished with the steroids my family doctor prescribed longer use of steroids (10 mg taken 4,4,3,3,2,2,1,1. He felt it would take care of the problem. The chest pains came back once the steroids were out of my system. We decided to try a gastroenterologist,my appt. is 2:30 pm tomorrow, but I am almost 100 percent certain that the inflammation is in the trachea and runs downward which makes a sharp pain when I inhale. I no longer go to a Pulmonary Specialist as I gave up my Cpap machine after using it for 5 years. I could not get a decent night s sleep. What should I do now since I told the Pulmonary Specialist I would not be coming any more. Would I have to get a new Pulmonary Specialist. I don t think the gastro doctor can take care of this. Would I need antibiotics. My oxygen level is 97 or 98 and I have no congestion or phlegm at all and no fever. But I am in terrible pain that goes right through to my back. What do you suggest?

My grandmother has had a pacemaker for about 4 yrs or so. During her last check up in June they told her it looked like she had about a year left on it. How will I tell when it s about up? The reason I am asking is because over the past few days she just falls asleep at the most random time. Example...standing up...in the car (which she never does) What I am getting at is especially today she has slept alot and it reminds me of how she was being when she had to get the pacemaker for the first time. Do you think I should go to the ER tonight?

a month ago I had SSCP radiating to neck, shoulder, forearm and tinglng of left hand. I was at rest (doing anesthesia) and it lasted 4 minutes. I have other vasospasm conditions and think this may be just coronary spasm. It happened again 2 and 4 days later but much less intensity. Today I ran some strips on our ekg machine and in addition to my usual LAFB, I have flipped t s in 3 and AVF. Is this inferior wall ischemia? Is it time to see a cardiologist?

I am looking at a ECG recently taken of a family member. I am only an EMT-B, and do not have sufficient ALS-level training in properly interpreting an ECG. At the top of this copy, i see that it says, Sinus Rhythm, Septal Myocardial Infarction, Possible Left Atrial Enlargement and Abnormal ECG. I wasn t the one who my family member to get this done, and I m upset I wasn t told about it. She is a 78y/o Female. Should I be concerned? If requested, I will scan and upload a copy of the actual ECG print

conclusion of a regular medical check is that I need an echocardigraphic evaluation. examining physician says chest X-ray indicated moderate cardiomegaly. electrocardiogram indicated inferior wall ischemia. my blood pressure was 120/80. he thought this may be accounting for the moderate cardiomegaly and the inferior wall ischemia. i exercise regularly (walk 3 to 6 km three times a week; 1 hour gym 2 times a week). enjoy 3 glasses of beer after walking exercise; or red wine with food after gym. do not smoke. weighing 85 kg (recently reduced from 87kg; usually keep weight 82-85kg). 174 cm tall.
