During the fever
and throat infection
your body looses a good amount of energy as well as you feel lazy and irritated. Since eating and drinking is very difficult body also suffers form dehydration

Cut down the intake of tea, coffee and carbonated drink. Replace the energy drink with the lime juice sweeten with honey.
Refrain yourself from fried and oily food items. They create more mess in throat.
Do not consume chill or refrigerated products; they are going to ruin your throat.
Keep away the food that possesses properties of cold
like cucumbers, bananas, watermelon, musk melon and papaya.
Stay away from curd, yogurt and the sour food items. Even grapes should not be consumed.
Bring down the intake of cheese and dairy products.
Strictly stay away from smoking
and hard drinks.
Include as much as fresh green leafy vegetables in your diet. Steam your vegetables and consume it in the lunch. Grab on some hot veggie soup in night with a green salad.
Season your soups, salads, vegetables with the herbs and spices like ginger, garlic, black pepper, basil leaves and cinnamon
Drink a glass of hot milk mixed with small amount of turmeric, sweeten with honey. Consume this drink every night before going to bed. You may also add some piece of ginger and then drain the mixture. Drink when it is hot. This will not only kill all the germs and bacteria but also helps in getting sound sleep.
