Okay so I m a 15 year old girl and active with running( when it s cross country season but I m off right now) and on the skinny side weighing 95 pounds being 5 2 . I get these occasional (has happened about 8 or 9 times) heart discomfort so that when I breathe out kind of deeply there s a sharp pain near the bottom of my left lung near my heart. I think it has happened once or twice when I ate too much greasy food, when I laugh way too much, when I get over excited like when I played tennis the other day it occurred, and has randomly happened when I haven t done anything. These attacks last around 30mins to about a couple of hours. The worst case was when I still had it and went to bed and couldn t sleep on my left side because every time my heart beat there was once again a sharp pain but it was gone in the morning. I m just wondering if this could turn out to be a serious problem or just random chest pains that young people get. Please don t answer if u have no clue b/c it s a waste.

My boyfriend and I are both convinced that he has heart problems. Until today it s only been a bit on an arrythmia but tonight he complained that he had a shooting pain go through his heart every heartbeat for about 30 of them. He s not worried enough to go to the doctor , but it s starting to worry me. Is it anything serious and should I drag him to the doctor?

I ve been having what I thought were panic attacks lately ( I have not had confirmation from a doctor but from what I have read they have either been panic or anxiety attacks). Anyway, I found this in an answer to a heart attack question: A heart attack usually provokes shooting pain on the chest that extends to the LEFT arm and also shortness of breath , palpitations, dizziness , loss of consciousness and many more obvious symptoms My question is do you get sharp shooting pains in your chest, near heart area, for panic attacks? Or is that strictly a heart attack symptom? I feel that I am too young to have a heart attack, but I am pretty overbooked, thus overly stressed. I haven t had an shooting pains in my left arm though, and I know that is a trademark for Heart Attacks. So does anyone know whats going on with me? Here are the symptoms I have had for reference: -Chest Pain -Shaking (Not always) -Headache -Dizziness/Nausea -Trouble Breathing Thank you for your help!

I have bilateral neuropathy. I have several other conditions, one of which I take gabapentin for. My neurologist recently prescribed tramadol to compliment the gabapentin for dealing with the nerve pain. Despite the fact that I found the tramadol to be effective in reducing the progressive nerve pain, I had to stop due to an adverse reaction. Today my neurologist called in a Rx for fioricet to try instead. I do not suffer from migraines. I cannot find any info online about taking fioricet for neuropathy. Any thoughts on why/how thiscdrug would be effective for dealing with nerve pain in my legs?? Thank you in advance for your time and expertise,Chronic nerve pain sufferer
