hi,thanks for query. After any major surgery in abdomen, the intestine have tendency to get adhere to each other in that area.the intestine then try get separate, this gives rise to pain. There is nothing to worry about, take light diet during that time, take sos analgesics for pain.In case the discomfort is more, talk to your doctor and get an ultrasound done to see that things are fine.

General & Family Physician Dr. Anand Babu M's  Response
Hi welcome to Healthcaremagic

Hi chandrashekar.., the pain in the operated site is due to fibrosis of the tissue surrounding it...
any movement causing the stretching of the operated site will have pain.. do not strain much..
Take rest, not to lift weight., until your muscle tone is fully developed..
Hope I have answered your question..
