Hi, About 3 months ago I hurt my lower back. I babied it and only have stiffness occasionally of a morning. About a week ago the back of my left shoulder, neck area started to bother me. Just discomfort. Now it has moved into my left upper arm and it s more pain than discomfort. Like as I am typing this it hurts. If I put my arm over my head it doesn t bother me. It s when it is down by my side or using my hands in a low position.

I was having lunch on Friday when suddenly, out of the blue, right side of my neck started hurting. I could not turn my head to the right and barely to the left. the pain was only on the right from my shoulder to below my ear. About 6 hours later, I could turn my head slightly and by Sunday I was able to turn it completely. Now there is no more pain and everything turns, but I m wondering what happened? It was so sudden and I ve never had anything like that before.

Hello Doctor, my son aged 25 yrs had met with a road traffic accident a month ago. He had sustained head (no skull or brain injury) and cervical spine injury (edema in C4 and C5) resulting in quadraparesis with B/B involvement. Spine specialist decided to treat him conservativelly. After treating initially with Solumedrol IV for a week and physiotheraphy he had gained movement in his legs and hands but still his wrist and fingers are extremely weak and working very little. Can any thing be done to improve his recovery faster where in he would be able to return to normalcy faster?

I had 4 cortisone injections about 6 weeks ago, 1 in my left shoulder between my spine and shoulder blade 2 in my right shoulder same place as the left and 1 around my cervical spine. They hurt pretty bad and the doctor didn t numb me because he said he wanted to know when it hurt cause he would know he was in the right place. Well about 1 week later I had a knott come up on the side of my neck, the size of a marble kinda like a lymphoid well it is still there it really doesn t hurt unless I push on it but doesn t hurt bad. It that normal and if so how long will it be there?
