I am experiencing itching and welts in my left leg.

I am experiencing itching and welts in my left leg. What alarms me is that there is pain and tenderness when I touch one welt located in my calf. Also the area is red and warm - perhaps from my scratching. Could it be dvt of the leg? Should I go to the hospital now? The itching started yesterday evening. I need your advice.
Thanks in advance

my mum just recently stopped taking amlodopine and glyburide on the advice of her doctor as her sugar and blood pressure were low. She has started experiencing some itchy hive like welts on the side of her stomach, back of her neck, on her leg near her groin. Most of them have dried up but some of the itch remains, and new ones have appeared on the other side of her stomach. I have been putting rubbing alcohol on them and this seems to soothe her and also when she takes a hot shower this also soothes her. I believe this could be a symptom of her coming off the medication as it started after she stopped taking these meds. She still takes metformin twice a day, isosorbide for her heart in the morning and an adult aspirin at night. Should this be concern? Your thoughts.

my 3 year old daughter starting crying about an hour ago and scratching her legs and arms. Her left arm is bright red with a few scattered welts and is hot to touch. Her ankles are red with large raised welts. She does not have any on her abdomen, chest or back. She complains of itching. She had not eaten anything out of the ordinary. I just checked her and she has large red raised splotches going up her legs front and back. she does not have any difficulty breathing. It it is creeping up from her anles up to her thighs front and bACK. SHOULD I GO TO THE ER?
