How Can Headache Be Treated While On Prednisone?

I am currently taking prednisone 10mg for an allergy. I have taken 2 pills for 2 days and this morning 1 pill, with 1 more tomorrow to complete the prescription. Can I take anything for a headache today? How long should I wait before taking ibuprofen?

Hello,

The dosage you are taking is low so you can take Ibuprofen for the headache. There is a higher risk for stomach ulcer and high blood pressure, but as I said given the low dose and short duration of treatment, it is a small risk, unless you have a history of gastric bleeding you should be safe. I would leave about 4 hours of difference between taking the two. I remain at your disposal for other questions.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
