I am addicted to smoking and i am suffering from panic attack lasting for 2-3 hours. how can i possibly get rid of it ?

After i got done smoking, my heart rate like increased, and i can feel my heart like tryin to jump out of my chest lol, and i wasnt sure if i smoked to much, or if the weed was laced, and i also was feeling very faint and looked pail =(. any ideas what this could of been? panic attack? and it lasted for like 2-3 hours, non stop beating, and it calmed down after i threw up, the chinease food i ate =( it wasnt my 1st time, i felt fine for 15-20 min after i got done smoking, then i started to feel weird, when i closed my eyes i saw shapes and i was like trippin real bad, and then i thought i was a robot, after that my heart just started racing non stop, then i tried to calm down and couldnt even walked outside in the cold for a bit, but then it calmed down after i threw up. i dont think it was laced, since non of my friends felt the same as i did and like 10 of us smoked the same weed, but i smoked the most out of all them, and it was pretty strong.

some people (me included) tend to have a panic attack when smoking pot with too much worries or problems on the mind and already anxious to begin with. panic attacks do increase the heart rate to insane levels and can also make you constantly think you are going to die (impending doom). some may not be scared of death at all their whole life then they get a panic attack and that changes that. all I can say is you if must smoke weed, get drunk first to prevent the panic attack. drinking is a CNS depressent so it helps with nerves that bring on the panic attack. though just dont drink too much cause then you go into eternal sleep. lol

That just recently happened too me but now i have nightmares about it now. I was smoking with many people and none of them felt the way i did. i walked about a half mile down that street not really even knowing it and i felt like i was doing things more than once. and when everyone caught up to me i told them i wanted to go to the hospital. My friend says its because i didnt eat before i smoked. And my aunt says its because i have to much on my mind with college on the way and leaving my boyfriend of 5 years behind.. What do you think?

You smoked too much. And it was probably a very good weed, but not laced. THC increases your heart rate and slows down circulation, and that can case dizzy spells. If the weed has a lot of shiny crystals on the buds and its really sticky, then its really good weed. I had it happen alot when I smoked good weed and you never know if one hit will do it or if it will take a whole joint. Not a cool feeling huh?

This is an old question but I was googling and thought I'd reply. Some people, not all have this kind of adverse reaction to smoking. (Me included) If you know you're like this you need to take things really slowly. Take SMALL hits, not big hits. The size of the toke is everything. You can take a huge rip and be freaking out, or you can take 5 small ones and be fine. This has been my experience though. I've found that when I smoke too much from being sober, my heart rate increases, my chest tightens, and I just generally get paranoid about anything to do with my body which is not good. The bottom line is you are fine, nothing is wrong unless you continue to escalate the anxiety further. I've gotten my heart rate over 200 bpm from just sitting freaking out about my heart. Not fun let me tell you. The marijuana is triggering a response from your nervous system that can be exacerbated by paranoid thoughts. Paranoid thoughts = flooding your body with epinephrine which is adrenaline. We all know what adrenaline does. Happy smoking!

lol sissy.
It cant hurt you unless its laced.
Just relax.
Paranoia goes away with time.
Only comes around when you're trying to hide it or have a lot on your mind.

I have never felt that way smoking weed on the other hand last night i tried that new WICKEDXXX. I was told it was really potent and it will put on a better high than weed. I tried it last night and i felt my heart grew and was trying to come out of my chest. I felt my veins being drained and i could feel some of my organs that i have never felt before. I'm trying to find any info on WICKEDXXX because i'm a big dude and a little fearless, that episode last night made me feel like i was going to die. I even prayed to GOD like the first time i got drunk. Any info on WICKED XXX would help.

this answers everything that happens to me as well!! Ive smoked weed constantly for the past 3 or 4 years and never really had a problem besides my first time which i fainted ;) ha but anyways ive been around weed for soo long now always loading and loading bongs or rolling blunts/joints anything! but lately my anxiety after every hit has been way over the top. i feel my chest tighten, my heart is literally jumping out of my chest, i see black dots and sumtimes on the edge of passing out but never doo.... its crazy how ive smoked all this time and now it kinda freaks me out. i guess i just need to slow it down and hope for the best. Drinking deff does take my mind off of it as well then i smoke and feel great!

Need Help -- Eyes been "Veiny Red" (Couldn't find the damn Visine) and had dark rims on each of the corners ever since I smoked A WEEK AGO. Everyday I wake up, looking into the mirror hoping this terrible signs will go away. I check my heart rate ever so often since that day, and I know I am having panic attacks every now-and-than.
But, is it possible, when you can feel something in your veins that causes pain and feels like your choking, and can't breathe, Which is also the cause of panic attacks... Can the weed I smoked be laced with something? How could I know for sure?
Another scary moment - I was washing my hands after running to the biffy couple days ago, and I fillled the sink up to the top, and I held my breathe and dunked my head in, I couldn't feel my breath shortening, it's like I could've survived under there, but after about a minute, I poked my head out, and I breathed normally no cause of catching breath... I'm throwing this weed away right when I find a chance to.

talk shit. weed slows you down its a depressant...

thats just what happens if you smoke more weed than you can handle. its the same as any drug, the more you use it the more you can take. dont smoke so much at once and it wont happen. remember the effects of weed dont usually happen straight away so if you leave more time between smoking then you wont ever smoke too much.remember as well if you do smoke too much just chill out and take deep breaths and itll be fine. also if you need to puke then do and youll feel better for it.

haha you thought you were a robot.

i got the fast heart rate and thought i was gonna die which was terrifyin but i think i took 2 many big hits and i tryed to keep in my lungs which made me cough and i had a bad trip while walking in the high street and nearly falling asleep xD and then when it was over i found out it was something called blue cheese which apparently is the most potent of its kind and not good for beginners and i always thought i smoked to much and 2 much bigs hits and the zoot was a fattie so 2 much guess. if i roll my zoot more thinly and tight and small and take small hits will that make me feel good?

This happens to me if I smoked too much at once. A few times I thought was going to have a heart attack and die. But what I did was just sit or lay down and CALM down. When you calm down and just sit or lay down for about 30 minutes you should start feeling normal again. Most likely is caused from too much at once too fast, always take it very slow to prevent the panic attacks. Also go to your doctor to make sure you don't have an underlying heart problem.

I m 19 years old and since I began to take Concerta a little over 10 years ago to manage my very active ADHD. I have been very successful on Concerta. I now take around 90mg per day. I ve been on this dosage for at least 2 or 3 years. I also suffer from depression and anxiety which I believe are related to my ADHD, possible the psycological affect. I ve had both anxiety and depression for my whole life but didn t know thats what it was until maybe a year ago. I ve had anxiety attacks before, where I feel overwhemled, and have trouble explaining my feelings or understanding things. But in the last 6+ months I ve noticed I began clenching my jaw, not just at night but during everyday situations my jaw will unconsiously lock and clech very tightly. I ve noticed it becoming more severe and now I feel like I m at the point where i cant control or refrain from it. In addition to that I ve started to get panic attacks. This has been with in the last 2 months and they are different from the attacks I m used to. They are sudden and frightening. I ve had multiple panic attacks with in a few hours or less of each other. I ve had little ones that only last 20 minutes or less and ones that have last up to an hour or even seem to not end. The more severe ones are the most alarming. During one that last a little over an hour I felt like I was having a heart attack. My heart was out of control and my breathing become rapid and irratic, my body was on fire and i was drenched in sweat. I felt like I couldnt function, I didnt understand what was going on around me. I was so dizzy and when I stood up i was convinced I d faint, vomit or die. The scariest part was my vision went blurry, it felt like I was looking through a kelidascope minus the pretty colors, everything was just distorted. Now my concern is that I am on a stimulant, which I worry is causing my anxieties or not helping at least. I m starting to wonder if its time to change to a different medication for my ADHD but Concerta was the first medication I tried and it has been very successful with as far as I believed no severe side effects. What do you make of my situation? How would you evaluate it? Would you recommend changing my medication? And if so, where would I start on finding a new medication. Take into account I m going into my 3rd semester of college with in the month, I m a straight A student. But do understand I have not grown out of my ADHD, have learned to cope and understand it but going off medication just isn t an option for me at this time. Also I am currently in between nuerologists (I ve been seeing the ssame neurologist that diagnosed me 10+ years ago). I did try to explain to my DR a year or so ago about issues and concerns I had but he wasnt very helpful, his response for everything is to keep an organizer -_-. I understand this is a lot of information, but I havn t had an appointment with my dr in a very long time, his practice become part of Winthrop a few years ago and i believe now he is just a childerns nuerologist. He had told me that since I had already been his patient for 8 or so years at the time that he d keep me as long as he could even after I turned 18, I usually see him every 3 months, but the office keeps moving and now canceling my appointments since January. If all you can do is point me in some sort of direction or advise me on where I should start that would be helpful. ---Thank you Kiersty

I turned 33 today, weigh 62 kgs (slender), 1,72 height, dont drink, smoke or eat unhealthy but have been diagnosed with anxiety...i dont get panic attacks anymore but when I get these skipped heart beats it sort of triggers me to be on edge. i have had skipped/flip flop sensations in my chest that have made me anxious for the past 3years....I could go without them for 2months but this last week it has been happening at least twice a day - could it be because I have gone back to exercising(aerobics)? Most information on websites says if they are frequesnt you need to see a doc but how many times is really frequent?? Is it when it happens every hour or every 30 min or is it when the episode lasts more than a minute?

Hello Dear I would be very pleased if you could help me in this case. I am suffering from extreme anxiety and I want to live a normal life! I can t describe it, I ve never had a scare like this before. I think every strange thing is going on with my body is related to pregnancy! I think it s because I don t have enough sex information and don t know how pregnancy actually happen, so whenever I get negative search result from Google, I start to think bad thoughts , it will increase my anxiety and I feel panic again. you know, I am living in a culture where sex before marriage is frowned upon. I know nobody can diagnose whether I am pregnant over the internet but I just need to know how likely it could be that I might or might not be pregnant. So I would be very grateful if you could help me and let me know how I can be 100% sure if I am not pregnant. I will briefly mention to the points I guess you need to know. my 3 last period was on August 31. we had an unprotected foreplaying (No sex) , he ejaculated so we re afraid if my labia touched his sperm or not. I should mention that I am still virgin and had no sex before. I also took a shower immediately and used Plan B after 2-3 hours. as I was so stressful and afraid that the stress delays my period, I started to drink Saffron tea and Cinnamon tea, two weeks before my next period and I only drank 1 or maybe 2 cups a day. because I d heard these can make the period come. I got my period on time on October 1st with a normal flow as the same as before. I did the home pregnancy test a week after my period finished and It was negative. I started to drink those teas again 2 weeks before my next period. I m afraid if these teas can cause a fake period!! I got my period on November 1st. I feel the blood was changed to dark-color on 4-6th day of my period. I also should mention that I had a white or grayish jelly-like vaginal discharge with itching which was increased right after my period ended. I did hpt again on November 14 and it was negative. even it seems I have pretty much zero chance of being pregnant but I am still anxious. google search results said some women confuse the irregular bleeding during pregnancy for their period and the irregular bleeding can come even right around the time you are expecting for your normal period. or the other point was that some women had even 6 negative blood test before the finally had a positive cause some women do not carry enough hormones to detect till later. so I can not trust even on blood test!!! could you please let me know what I need to do right now and how I can be sure if I am not pregnant, before I miss the time for abortion!!! I I get my next period on time, can I still be pregnant after 3 normal and on time period?!!! I m looking forward your answer.Thank you in advance.

Hey, I was diagnosed with an eating disorder and the effects were secondary amenorrhea and bradycardia. My resting rate rate then was 45 and they said it could be reversed but I was wondering if it was possible to reverse it in a week? I ve been following their orders of eating more for about 5 days now and my resting heart rate is between 70-80 every time I check it.

My resting heart rate is unusually fast and even if i just walk up the stairs my heart is racing like ive just ran a mile. When i exercise i can feel my heartbeat in my chin and other strange places aswell as having red, blotchy skin all over my body, mostly my face and arms. Also, after exercise, if i open my mouth i can hear my heartbeat, its like a ticking noise. My mouth goes very very dry too. Finally ive noticed that if i lie down and place something across my chest for example a book or ipad, i can see my ipad wobble alot from my heartbeat, is any of this normal??

My rest heart rate is typically around 100 and my blood pressure is typically very good. I am now taking Bisoprol 5mg for atrial tachycardia. My last read had my rest heart rate at 94 but my blood pressure has dropped to 101/57. Should I be concerned?

I am a 23 year old female, studying medicine. For past 8 months, i have been having some episodes of heart 'dysfunctions' that now have turned constant. I need help in knowing what is the condition.
It started last may when one day i started feeling so weak that i just could not get up and was having a splitting headache, when i measured my BP was 90/55mmHg ( before it was always 120/80mmHg). I was having palpitations, bradycardia at times, tachycardia at times, extreme weakness, sweating ( especially on scalp) after sleeping after headache. I was also having light sleep.
Slowly, these episodes became constant. Now I am feeling weak all times, light headed if sitting or standing for long, headache (thumping with constant heaviness), inability to sleep, tightness in chest, chest pain sometimes, tachycardia at any normal activity (walking, doing some tidy up), BP is still low. I also get dry cough on breathing sometimes.
So i got a holter done for 24 hours, got following:
- sinus tachycardia( 110- 120) almost all day with some normal rate in between, my heart rate dropped to 50 in middle of night ( reason causing me to wake up from sleep and not to sleep again) and it remained like that for 3 hours
- average pulse -81
- my heart rate jumped to 179 per min when i climbed stairs ( 9 floors, easily climbed by others), breathing became laboured, headache with blacking out sensations ( i did not faint though)
- I have some abnormalities in lead I, II and III ( looks like left axis deviation as lead I is showing highest peaks and is moving away from III ) even the avL and avF looks weird, QTc>450ms is 47%, no ST deviation, no T wave abnormalities
I also have tachypnea (26-28 per min) and accentuation of Pulmonary part of second heart sound. I also have slight edema on my feet ( bluish tinge)
I also did a blood work up, I do not have thyroid problems or anemia
I need some advice on what i might be having, so as to proceed further on treatment.
