I Am A 55 Year Old Female And Have Been

I am a 55 year old female and have been diagnosed with beta thalassamia trait/carrier only recently. My iron level is fine. I had no notable symptom except for sudden hair loss in the last five years. My menopause also set in a few years back. My hematologist has advised me to take folic acid daily which I am doing. When I consulted a dermatologist for the hair loss, he prescribed Biotin 1000 mcg twice daily. This doesn't seem to help much. Last year I took a bag of blood from a donor after which the hair loss had slightly reduced. Given my irreversible blood condition, could you please prescribe something to prevent hair fall and ensure a healthy head of hair.
