Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 25 year old male. This may seem strange but for the last year and half I get a huge lingering pit in my stomach. It basically happens everynight. The only way to stop this is to eat large amounts of peanut butter which at times has made me very nauseated. I also feel like I have to stuff myself with at least 800 calories in food just to get rid of this pit feeling. This insatiable urge to stuff myself with peanut butter EVERY NIGHT has been very frustrating and I want to know why it is happening. I have to have my mom hide the peanut butter jar from me at night because of hpw extreme my compulsion is to eat peanut butter is. I have talked to a therapist about this but so far cognitive therapy has not helped.Could it be an OCD thing or could it be physiological. Any speculation on this would be appreciated.
