I Am 57, Post Menopausal And Had A Total Hysterectomy

I am 57, post menopausal and had a total hysterectomy laparoscopically with salpingo-oopherectomy 3 weeks 4 days ago. I have had discharge since which has been pinkish brown and small quantities. However 8 days ago I had some fresh blood. Stopped doing everything and rested for 3 days and it all subsided for 2 days. Since then I have had gushing of watery fluid which started odourless but has now become smelly - not fishy but a strange acidic smell. It is sufficient to soak a pant liner and has been happening with more and more frequency. This is not associated with coughing or any type of stress incontinence. I telephoned the hospital who tried to contact my surgeon and they eventually rang back to say he said that unless there was any fever there was nothing to worry about. Surely this is not normal?
