I am 52 . I had bloodpressure that was 138/111. I was on Tenormin 50 mg. for high blood pressure. I changed my diet. Stopped eating and drinking so many sugary drinks and candies. Stopped drinking caffine all together. Ate a lot more nuts for snacks instead of a candy bars or brownies. I changed my bloodpressure from the 138/111 down to 124/74. Plus I lowered my cholesterol from 238 down to 166. You can change any thing with diet. I know I did. I managed to get off all of my medications by changing my diet.

I m 61 and in fairly good health. Work long hours and little sleep. Recently suffered a bout of a lower back ach. Stressful job and relationship. I have lost about 35lbs over the last 12 months due to lighter eating. My blood pressure is never over 120/80. After work I had a stressful disappointing conversation between me and a close woman friend. I got out of the car after the phone conversation and had tthis sinking dizzy feeling. I went into the drug store and measured my blood pressure on the machine. Not 120/80 like always but 133/86 - p78, 10 mins later 145/86 - 77, 15mins later after eating a sandwich it was 138/91 - p88. I took two asprins. Should I be worried?
