I am 42 years old, taking duromine. Do i need to stop it before gall bladder operation ?

I am a 42 year old lady, no medical problems and 8kg overweight and on no other medication other than duromine 30mg. I am having my gall bladder removed next week, I have been on duromine 30mg for a month now, will it be ok to go for the surgery or is there a risk. If I must stop the duromine before the operation, how many days before the time.

These drugs are known to cause jaundice and possibly aggravate gall stone formation in some studies. You may stop the drug ONLY after consultation with the Doctor who prescribed it to you. One week pray should be enough to avoid possible side effects.
