I am 3 days past my outpatient surgery for Breast Reconstruction, and just noticed that a prescription for Cephalexin 500 mg. was prescribed through Internet process a month ahead of time, and sent to an out-of-the-way pharmacy(Walgreen's)that I've never used. On the day before my surgery, I was told to stop at the hospital location to pick up my prescription, which I did . . .told me I had to sign for Hydrocodone, as it was a regulated substance, and picked it up several hours later in order to be prepared. In reviewing the instructions, today, that were handed to me during Pre-Op appointment, I noticed the Cephalexin. I just looked it up on the Internet, and didn't like the side-effects that were listed, and wondering if at this point I should just forget about it and consider it an oversight, procure the medication and start taking it now, or wait until I see the doctor on Wednesday(9/26), and find out what she suggests. Thank you!
