Can Exercises Help In Curing My Paralyzed Legs?

I am 23years old. 6years ago I had taken poison due to which my both legs got paralysed ( below hips) but I can feel the touch. I can walk using a stick but without it I can t. I feel a lot better than before when I had just started the medication. But I took medication for 4 years only. Doctors say that doing exercise can treat me. So I started doing exercises but it just makes me feel better for sometime and again I feel the same as before. I can t afford to get to best hospitals. What should I do?? Is this curable or not??

Hello,

The good news is that it would seem that your legs are not completely paralyzed at this point since you are capable of walking with a cane or stick.

Therefore, with at least enough muscle force to do that activity I would certainly encourage you to follow a daily regimen of exercise for the legs which could also include STRETCHING exercises, swimming (using a paddle board to hold on to so that the legs can be worked primarily), different types of walking which could be distance or stair stepping maneuvers and I'm sure that the good feeling you're experiencing can be prolonged more and more with time.

You do not the "best" hospitals to perform these sorts of activities which are the BEST activities for your legs and only require your willingness to do them on a daily basis to see the difference.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Hello,

Continue doing exercises. You may not become normal, however, we expect much improvement with that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
