Hello pauljason;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The redness and itching can be due to sort of infection due to fungi or yeast which is common occurring at place where there is sweat or if you have worn wet garments.The application of hydrogen peroxide might have caused irritation on the raw area.So please wash with plain water then mop dry and apply an ointment containing antifungal and steroid which you can get over the counter at a local chemist.If the irritation and itching still persists then consult a doctor for examination and treatment.
Take care
Thanks
