It is likely a viral infection infecting the sinuses and other aspects of the upper respiratory tract
Sinus congestion can cause facial pain
and nasal congestion
You may want to consider the use of an antihistamine and decongestant (these often are combined eg clarinase, zyrtec d, allegra d).
In addition to use of a pain killer to reduce the pain would be helpful- ibuprofen
, cataflam, aspirin
Rest and use of enough fluids would also be part of your treatment.
