How To Withdraw From Cymbalta?

I a I am a 79 year old female who has been on cymbalta for 9 years prescribed after the death oh my husband. I don t want to take it anymore because they haven t helped and cause too many side effects. How do iwean myself off it. I also have been on limbitrol for 25 years prescribed for chronic headaches which don t work either. I want to get off this too. Where can I find help?

hi mam,I appreciate your courage and positive approach to life.ya you can surely wein off both the drugs if you find no use.as you haven’t mentioned the dose of both the drugs,I would mention the quantity. like if xmg once daily is the dose you are using now, make it half of xmg daily for 2 weeks.then half of xmg alternate day for 3 weeks.then half of x mg weekly once for 2 or 3 weeks and then you can stop both the drugs.still if you experience any withdrawal effects like dizziness,agitation or depression,vomiting etc,please report to the prescribing physician.also please give a piece of information before you stop the medicines to the doctor who prescribed it, in order to allow him plan for any alternative drug or be prepared for any withdrawal symptoms.hope my answer helps you and eliminates your anxiety.any other queries,please let me know.its my pleasure to be of any help to you.wish you a very healthy and peaceful,happy new year 2018.thank you.take care.bye.
