General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Stopping citalopram abruptly may result in one or more of the following symptoms:
- Irritability
- Nausea
- Feeling dizzy
- Vomiting
- Headache

I suggest you to low the dose in a progressive way for better results and less withdraw effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
