How To Withdraw Alprax Without Any Side Effect?
Hi I have been taking Alprax 0.25 for the past five years. One tablet in the night to give me good sleep. I want to stop. Actually, I have not taken the medicine for the last four days. Sleeping is difficult without it, but I m managing. I want to quit. Is there any withdrawal symptom that I would notice? If yes, then what is it? And how would it be best for me to quit?

Hello.Interrupt intake of Alprazolam suddenly can cause insomnia and anxiety.
Decrease of dose must be done slowly during 3 weeks :
-The first week you take 3/4 of the tablet
-The second week you must take half the pill.
-The third week you take 1/4 of the tablet, 7th day of the this week is the last day of Alprazolam intake.
With this method (decreasing the dose slowly during 21 days) insomnia and anxiety are avoided.
