How To Withdraw Paxil?

I have been on paxil for around 13years 10mg. I have ulcerative colitis and my gastroenterologist felt that it would help me to stay calm. I am considering to go off of it since I feel that it has caused me to gain weight. I am 66 years old and steel battle ulcerative colitis since age 43. What is your opinion?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the ulcerative colitis then condition need to be treated in proper way why this is not being treated since many years, and given antidepressant instead, in my opinion better to have second opinion of another gastroenterologist, hope this information helps, take care.
I find this answer helpful
