How To Wean Off Of Diazepam?

I had to start takeing quetiapin9 days ago to try to stabelise me as I am suffering badly trying to get off diazepam. I have slowly worstned over the week and last night became completely delerious,temp 41,slurred speach confused, I have seen the doctor and have immediately stopped quetiapine and I also have a uti so have been given anti biotics. I am now feeling very emotional,unwell drained,vunerable and frightened and I have had 2 sleeping tablets in order to sleep but they have nt worked. Can I take piriton to try to get some sleep? Thanks

Hello,

Since you have already taken sleeping aid, it is not advisable to take Piriton along with it. You should not reduce the dose or discontinue Diazepam without consulting your doctor first.
