General & Family Physician 's  Response

If your baby vomits after taking Bonnisan, please avoid giving it.

It is advisable to consult your baby's pediatrician before trying any other over-the-counter medications/tonics.

Hope I have answered your query.

Hello Doctor, My kid is about 9months and girl baby, can i give bonnisan which is recommended by local doctor in Chennai. When do we need to give this water after feeding or before feeding. Earlier we used to give Colic Aid drops which is again described by another doctor from the date of birth. Now our confusion is that can we start giving Bonnesan now? if yes, how to do feed her? The reason is that sometimes she is not taking full milk of Nan or other items...she is taking only limited and weight also not increasing.. Could you give us a feedback on this and this will be more helpful for us to take care our kind. Thanks Best Regards, Latha

Hi. I have had nausea (no vomiting), diarrhea, and excessive bloating along with burps that taste/smell like sulfur. This has been going on for 3 days. I had this same thing except with occasional vomiting about a month ago. In that case it would last 24 hours, stop for about 48 hours, begin again, then stop... Eventually I went to the ED and got IV nausea meds and fluid. This stopped it, but now it has started again. What can I do to stop this without going to the hospital again?

I was discharged from a hospital after an 8 day stay for an esophageal tear on Tuesday. I did not require surgery....instead it was 7 days of no food or liquids orally, 2 broad spectrum IV antibiotics, saline, and Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium as my electrolytes were very low as a result of dehydration. I had vomited for a 20 hour period. The rupture healed nicely on its own. Morphine for pain and something for the chronic nausea. I am home now, but not really feeling better. I still feel nauseous (the smell of food can be triggering as can movement) I have vomited twice after a spell of uncontrollable shaking, followed by vomiting and then profuse sweating. I think one episode was a gall bladder attack since I have a history. But, it happened again last night. My stomach in general is bothering me (bloated, gassy, achy). I am on a liquid diet, but I am struggling even with that. I also continue to feel very weak and my mood is low. Thoughts?

yes, I had a colonoscopy followed up by a barium and was diagnosed with dirvirtulosis . I believe this is a pouch in the colon. At present I have had diahrea for 5 days and my family doctor said it was dirvirticulosis. However I have not had any pain or vomiting. I have reflux to which I take Losec , which I know can cause some diahrea. He put me on antibiotics . what should my next step be?. I watch my diet and in the past have had regular bms sometimes 3 a day
