Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...my mom has been told that she has a clogged artery in her lower leg according to a doplar test. she is going to go to a vascular dr about it. what are some of the ways they unclog a leg artery?

Initially,she should do ct angiography to verify blockage more precisely. In some cases it can be treated by placing stent or by interventional radiology. She should also have antithrombotic medication to prevent further artery blockage. Last option is surgery by doing bypass or thrombectomy.
