How To Treat Yellowness And Inflammation Around Nails?

Hi, i actually have a problem with my nail. Two months ago it started turning kind of yellow from the root and now the area of my finger just beside the nail has started to swell. I consulted a near by doctor and he said it is infection and the nail has to be removed. Can you please suggest any ointment which can help it in healing and i don t have to remove the nail as it is quite scary for me.

Hi

Mild infection of the nail can be treated with antifungal drugs.Any pus collection can be drained and treated with antibiotics.

Severe infection may require removal of the nail.Completely removing the nail can help in growth of a healthy nail.Do not worry. Many non invasive procedures are available which can be safely done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
