How To Treat Withdrawal Symptoms Of Cortisone?

My friend is going through hell at the moment with cortisone rebound. She has been using topical cortisone for skin conditions for 20 years and her doctor has not stopped it completely and she is a mess both physically and mentally. Any suggestions?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this severe cortisone withdrawal symptoms. How did she stop this medication? if below a given dose she cannot tolerate the side effects, ten she may need to be maintained on that for a while before trying another continued effort to wean her off it. This is because continuing despite poor signs of tolerance makes it worse and not any better. However, topical steroids rarely cause withdrawal symptoms? can you describe what exactly is happening to her? I hope we are not missing out on anything here.

I hope this helps. I wish her well. get back to e wit more information so that I can look further into this.
