How To Treat Ulcers Near Terminal Ileum And Diagnosed With Crohn S Disease?

Dr, Patta,I am a 20-year-old male with Crohn s Disease. I have ulcers near my terminal ileum, and this past week I have been experiencing rectal bleeding when I have bowel movements. I am scheduled to have a Remicade treatment on Wednesday, but I am missing work due to the Crohn s pain and nausea. Is there any way I can stop the bleeding? It is making me feel miserable. Thank you.

Hello,

Chrons disease is treated with antibiotics, pain relievers, Immunosuppressants, antimetabolites and steroids.

Above drugs are given until remission occurs then maintenance dose should be maintained.

Frequent ultrasound abdomen and endoscopy may useful.

So please consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
