How To Treat Type 2 Diabetes?

YES, I HAVE BEEN A TYPE II DIABETIC FOR ABOUT 17 YEARS. WHEN I WAS FIRST DIAGNOSED I WOULD TAKE DIABENESE AND GLOCOPHAGE. I LATER EVOLVED TO ACTOS AND CURRENTLY TAKING HUMOLOG 75/25 AND VICTOZA ALONG WITH METHFORMIN. I TAKE A SMALL AMOUNT OF KOZAAR FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND VITORIN FOR MY CHOLESTEROL. I THOUGHT THAT THESE MEDICINE WOULD HELP ME TO CONTROL MY TYPE II DIABETES. I CHECK MYSELF NOW AND FIND THAT MY READINGS ARE IN THE 250-300 MARK. WHY IS MY MEDICINE NOT WORKING?

Your medications may be working correctly, yet your insulin production from your pancreas may be declining or have completely stopped. A better indicator would be to have your Hemoglobin a1c checked in your blood and to consider increasing your humalog as needed.
