How To Treat Tonsillitis?

I have a really bad ache and numbness on the left side of my neck and left arm for a week now. I got tonsilitis, but even with antibotics and my fever going, the pain and numbness in my neck and arm is still as bad as ever. Should i go back to my doctor?
