How To Treat Throat Pain After Vomiting During Pregnancy?

I m pregnant. I have severe pain in my throat after vomiting. When I breathe my throat hurts. When I cry it hurts and I also feel pain in both ears due to the throat pain. I cannot eat because of the pain and even swallowing my saliva is extremely painful. Also there is a mucusy feeling in the throat that just sits there. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
of,
Welcome to HCM.
After vomiting in pregnancy, because of the acidic contents of the stomach, you must have contacted with mucosal erosions of throat. That's why you are experiencing the symptoms.
You can do salt water gargling with warm water thrice a day. Use Chlorhexidine containg mouthwash twice a day. Consume citrus fruit juices.
You also need to take Vitamin B complex capsules once a day for 15 days.
These will help you heal the injury faster.
Wish you good health.
