How To Treat The Recurring Chalazion?

Hi Just recently I've had my 1-2 year chalazion removed via drainage at my local opthamologist (early april). However just now in this month it has started reapearing and I can feel It at the same spot at my top left eye. I was wondering if I should just leave it alone because it might come back if I get another surgery. If I do will it have any negative long term effects? And also Will tetracycline eye ointment be able to cure it? Thanks

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that you are having recurrent chalazion.
The common causes for recurrent chalazion are uncorrected refractive error, uncontrolled diabetes, chronic blepharitid of eye lids...
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination to finf out underlying cause and treatment if any.
For recurrent chalazion you can undergo intralesionsl injection of triamcinolone.
Tetracycline ointment helps for treatment of chronic blepharitis.

Thank you
