How To Treat The Deep Cysts In The Underarms And Upper Inner Thigh Area?

I have had deep cysts in my underarms and upper inner thigh area. They are often painful and drain either by pressure or on their own. They typically appear right before I menstruate. I have a cream to apply for treatment but I am wondering if I can get microdermabrasion to help with the discoloration from scarring and for just a smoother unclogged underarm.

Hi,

It may be hidradenitis suppurativa. It is a disease of apocrine glands. So, also called apocrinitis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

It is a chronic inflammatory condition of unknown cause characterized by cystic lesions with formation of fistula and sinuses. Long-term course various antibiotics may be tried.

Rifampicin may be given. Intracystic steroid injection may be tried. Surgical intervention is the last option.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel,
