How to treat the deep cysts in the underarms and upper inner thigh area?

I have had deep cysts in my underarms and upper inner thigh area. They are often painful and drain either by pressure or on their own. They typically appear right before I menstruate. I have a cream to apply for treatment but I am wondering if I can get microdermabrasion to help with the discoloration from scarring and for just a smoother unclogged underarm.

Hi,

It may be hidradenitis suppurativa. It is a disease of apocrine glands. So, also called apocrinitis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

It is a chronic inflammatory condition of unknown cause characterized by cystic lesions with formation of fistula and sinuses. Long-term course various antibiotics may be tried.

Rifampicin may be given. Intracystic steroid injection may be tried. Surgical intervention is the last option.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel,

2 weeks ago I was sitting at my desk and noticed a little soreness on my inner thigh when I turned in my chair. I touched it to see if it was a bruise and felt a knot/lump. I went to the restroom to see what it was and noticed a little bruising. None of this had been there two hours earlier. Within three hours of noticing the knot and bruise they both had trippled in size. I chose to go to the ER and was told it was a busted blood vessel. After two weeks the brusing is starting to clear a little but the knot is still the same size. About the size of large gumball and still sore. The bruising area is larger than my hand but knot sore. I am a 32 year old female with no health problems and there was no kind of accident to cause this. Is it normal and how long should it take to completely heal (knot and bruise)?

I had a cyst on my inner thigh near the lower part of my buttocks that I noticed this morning. I m not sure if it was there before. But I couldn t resist popping it, so I did, without ANY effort at all, it burst. But there was no puss from what I could see. It was all thick dark red blood. I may have noticed a little puss marbled into it. I cleaned it with an alcohol swab, and bandaged it up, but are cysts in this area normal? And is what I did okay?

My query is to a dermatologist. My Name is Mrs. Nair, age- 38 years, female. My problem is listed below:

In 2006 April I started having hyper pigmentation on my face, neck and upper back. I consulted a specialist at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore and underwent blood test. As per the blood test my IGE (immunoglobin E) was 460, high above normal. Therefore, I underwent a patch test and the result of the patch test said I was allergic to PPD and some parabens. So my problem was diagnosed as hyper pigmentation due to contact dermatitis. I had used hair colour since February 2006 and as per this result I completely stopped using the same. I underwent chemical peeling, micro dermabrasion and laser treatment subsequently. My facial skin improved a bit, but not much. I had to shift to Egypt on official assignment and here again I consulted two dermatologists. They suggested a skin biopsy for Macular Amyloidosis and a biopsy was done. As per the biopsy report "bundles of collegen found in the dermis and slightly reactive to congo red staining. diagnosis: Amyloidosis."I do not have any itching on the skin except sometimes which i take as due to dryness. Can you please confirm what is my condition? Is there any treatment for this? I would really be grateful for your reply as I cannot consult a doctor from India face to face now as I am still in Egypt.

I went in to book my first microdermabrasion and the skin therapist noticed multiple small white bumps on my nose. I assumed it was stubborn white heads as I've tried to remove it myself, hence why I wanted a facial. The skin therapist called in...
