Grandson's was 257, after spending day in summer school. Had 2 Popeye's bisquits since home from school. Do I need to tell his Dr. when reordering his meds.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Thanks for the query.
Treatment for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has two important components psychotherapy interventions (for both the child and the parents) and medications.
Medication most commonly prescribed for ADHD is stimulants like medications like Ritalin (methylphenidate) or Adderall (an amphetamine).
Studies show that spending time in nature can reduce the symptoms of ADD/ADHD in children. Encourage your child to play outside for at least 30 minutes each day, if possible.
See your doctor for further help.

Pediatrician Dr. Meera Kotecha's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking.
I would like to know what medicines he is on at present.
In my opinion none of the routine medications used for ADHD has hyperglycaemia as its side effects. But please do mention it to his doctor before re ordering the drugs.
Also I would advise you to get his blood glucose levels done in a lab once. Some times the blood glucose done with the strips show such errors. If they are still on the higher side then your doctor will investigate further.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
