How to treat the amputed right arm and decayed teeth due to medications?

My son soon to be 41yrs old had an injury at work that completely amputed his dominant right arm and externally amputed the external 98%. It was held on by a slither of skin in 2009. He has had 5 surgies. A bridge like bar inside the upper part of his arm and lower cavador nerves in the lower part. He has what they call a bear claw hand and wrist just flops so he has to wear a wrist brace but even though he has no feeling in certain parts of his hand he is in pain always especially in the cold. And where the bridge in the upper arm is you can t touch at all because it causes great pain. His WC cade was closed and now is on SSD and Medicare part A&B,but would never be able to afford any kind of medical bill balances. His medicines have cause him to have his teeth decay and he of course has no dental coverage at all. He needs a doctors that are willing to take care of his teeth with extractions and dentures but most important one that is willing to amputee his arm and give him a robotic one so he would once again have two arms and hands that work without pain any longer and then fix his teeth to aldso spot that pain and get him off his meds. But he also needs this all to be done pro bono since he would not be able to afford any cost. He is in the Bronx,NY.

Hello,

The amputated arm can only be fitted with a prosthetic limb to help you function properly. The decayed tooth needs a proper cleaning and needs to be filled by a dentist to prevent further decay.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon

last night i woke up to use restroom. As a lay back down i reached over to my left side to get my medication bag on the floor. Suddenly i felt numbness on my right arm. I lay back down again and quickly it the numbness spread to my left arm and then they cramped up and began to burn and stiffen and I couldnt move th. My lips tigled up lihtened and face began tingling and from my knees down to my feet got numb and feet cramped like my hands with burning pain. My speach was slurred because my lips were so tight I couldnt speak very well. Went to er and diagnosed with distonic drug reaction. They gave me benadryl and valium. It took over an hour for me to get back to normal after meds given. From what I uderstand this condition may be caused by anti psychotic meds. I take paxil and clonazepam and have been on these meds for about 2 to 3 years and have never experienced this before. Only new medication I was put on last week was cefdinir and had to change due to colitis and then given augmentin. right now Im having a little trouble breathing and feel very nauseous. any advice would greatly be appreciated. I underwent angioplasty in Feb 2008 and 2 stents were placed. I am on cardace 10, stamlo 5, clopact 75,ecosprin 150 and atorvastin Ez (all one tab each). I require a tooth extraction for which the dentist has advised to stop ecosprin 150 for 5 days before the extraction. A cardiologust advised me to have ecosprin 75 daily instead of 150 strength for the 5 days. Another said as the angio aws in 2008Feb I can stopp the ecospin maybe 2 days before extraction. the dentist has agrred to stoppage of ecosprin 3 days before extaction which includes the day of extraction. What am I to do. Should I get a blood clotting test done? ( before or after stopping ecosprin?) Since clopact is for thinning blood, should I stop that too?
