How To Treat Swollen Ear Lobe?

I m 29 years old and 5ft 5 in height. I was at the hair salon today and sat underneath the hair dryer for about 35 minutes at high heat. An ear cover was used to shield my ears but one of my ear ached throughout and even afterward. Some hours afterward, I felt my ear lobe (one) really swollen and after close examination in the mirror, I discovered that fluid had collected in the lobe and its still painful. Do I just burst it? Or will it go down on its own? Will there be scarring as well? Please what do I do? Thanks

Hi..

Well it looks like continues exposure to heat has caused the ear to get inflamed and swollen and there is inflammatory fluid accumulation..

If you try to lance it at home there can be infection..

So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get checked.
Incision and drainage can be done under aseptic precautions it needed.

For now do cool compresses over it and do not press or lance it..
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
