General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Snoring is caused by some sort of obstruction to the airflow in nose and/or pharynx.
* Consult an ENT Surgeon specialized in sleep disorders for clinical evaluation, examination and relevant investigations
* Induced sleep Endoscopy to see which part is taking part in snoring and to get this treated by medicines or surgery
* MRI study, X-rays of chest also help in diagnosis
* If there is deviated nasal septum or hypertrophied turbinate then get operated. as medicines do not work much in such cases
* If the sleeping problem persists as the cause may be psychological then get your doctor's help by counselling and medications.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
