How To Treat Severe Diarrhea?

I have come down with diarrhea which started at 4 a.m. Friday. No fever, no headaches, 71 year old male who never smoked and doesn t drink so no. No aches and pain either. But cannot hold anything down now after 2.5 days. I have had some cold sweats. I finished a 3 day prescription of Ciproflaxcin on Wednesday night after a medial procedure that occurred on Monday afternoon. Immodium does not seem to help. I am trying to dink a little tea and tried a very small scrambled egg with one toast but they pass right through. Any suggestions on this long weekend? I do not want to go in and possibly contaminate others in an emergency room situation or risk being exposed so other sickness.

Hello,

It's may be a case of infective diarrhea. You may
-Take tablet Cifran-Tz twice daily after food for five days.
-No use of taking Imodium in a case of infective diarrhea.
-Drink ORS.
-AND have a soft diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
