How To Treat Seborrheic Dermatitis While Suffering From Itchy Scalp And Dandruff?

I d been suffering from itching of scalp for some years & thinking it to be reason of dandruff I started using anti dandruff shampoo. Problem being not solved I consulted an MD (Derma) who treated me for Seboric dermatis. I m now better than what my earlier stage was. Please suggest me any oral medicine/ solution for applying without any side effects for long so that I can keep intact whatever hair I have at present.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I suggest you to take:

1. Ketoconazole shampoo for twice a week for 2 months.

2. Kindly consult your physician to rule out other skin disease like psoriasis. Tinea etc.

3.Try to apply home made hair pack like curd mixed with fenugreek powder twice a week and have hair wash as this will not have any side effects.

4.Consume efficient amount of water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Indhu Priyadharshini
