How To Treat Rope Like Protrusion On My Right Knee?
I have a hard ropelike protusion on the back of my right knee when I stand and put weight.about 3 to 4 inches long..also a bakers cyst to the right of that...extremely hard to straighten knee after sitting, also a lot of pain in front of knee to the right of kneecap....Very hard to roll over in bed....Was sent by my PCP with exrays to an orthopedic surgeon....He said it was no injury just arthritis...He ordered blood tests, an arthritis medicine which I couldn t continue after just 4 days with stomach pain ; and physical therapy...It is so dibilitating, hard to believe it isn t something more than arthritis...Another thing I found strange was the orthopedic doctor didn t even examine my knee, or even feel the swelling..or do any range of motion...I haven t started physical therapy because I m afraid to cause more damage...

How To Treat Rope Like Protrusion On My Right Knee?
Hello, We have to rule out possible causes like popliteal bursa. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI knee joint. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
