How To Treat Redness And Swelling Of Ankle Caused After Injury?

I was hit on the inside of my foot by a puck playing ice hockey. I was hit on the bone right below my ankle on the inside of my right foot. I m definitely limping, but I m trying to figure out how to heal my foot. I have a game tonight. My ankle is red, but there is not bruising. Just a bit swollen

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I appreciate your concern
Swelling after an injury can be caused by fracture or soft tissue injury
I would advise you to get an X ray of the ankle if it increases further and you are having intense pain

Meanwhile you can take diclofenac or ibuprofen with Chymoral forte for pain and swelling
Leg elevation will definitely help in relieving swelling
you can use crepe bandage for support to the ankle joint
You should have calcium supplements and milk and dairy products.
If you can uploadenjoy a photograph and relevant medical history, I will be able to guide you better.
Waiting for your reply

Thanks and regards
