Dear Savita,

I went through your query and can understand your concern with your symptoms. Getting frustrated easily and feeling low are suggestive of depression. In your case, you have had depressive symptoms and suicidal attempts in the past too. So, it would be highly advisable that you should seek a psychiatric consultation without any further delay and initiate treatment.

Treatment with antidepressants with help you. You will have to remember that since, you have had more than one episode of depression, your treatment should be continued for few years even after complete recovery of depressive symptoms. You can also opt of cognitive behavior therapy which will help you in reducing the symptoms of depression and maintaining the gains thereafter.

Hope this information was helpful. Best wishes.
