Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
You history is suggestive of urinary tract infection (UTI) as well as infection of the reproductive tract.
The infection from urinary tract can involve the reproductive tract and vice versa.
Persistence of symptoms despite taking antibiotics suggest that the infectious agent is resistant to the antibiotic.
I suggest you to get a urine examination to look for evidence of infection.
If there is evidence of infection, a urine culture is required followed by antibiotic sensitivity.
Antibiotic sensitivity will select antibiotic most appropriate against the micro-organism.
Post urine retention is another problem which needs to be resolved because the retained urine is getting infected and thus it is responsible for UTI.
Urine retention occurs due to obstruction to urine flow.
Thus, consult a urologist to look for the cause of obstruction and thus retention of urine.
Appropriate management of post urine retention can be resolved thereafter only.
A white vaginal discharge, itching and thickening of vaginal lips are suggestive of fungal infection and requires anti-fungals.
However, a clinical assessment is required before starting any treatment.

Thanks and take care
Dr Shailja Puri
